It is once again that time of year when we start to prepare for the upcoming Grand Session and with that is the subject of awards.

Attached are the  forms for:

The Royal Arch Mason of the Year – 1 to be selected statewide
The Royal and Select Mason of the Year – 1 to be selected statewide
The Knight Templar Cross of Honor – 1 to be selected statewide

It is requested that each York Rite Body nominate a member for each of these awards.

We feel certain that each body has at least one deserving Brother, and in most cases, there are more than just the 3 allowed.

PLEASE take the time to discuss these awards with your leadership and respective bodies and submit your nominations by NLT December 15th. 

REMEMBER – Do not let the nominated individual know of the nomination as only 1 from each Grand Body in the state will be selected.

Additionally, a new award as of July 2019, issued by the Grand Encampment is the Grand Commandery Meritorious Service Medal (MSM). This award consists of a medal and a lapel pin (inscribed “Meritorious Service”) and is available to all Commanderies to award to one of their worthy members. Only one such award per Commandery may be awarded in a calendar year using the attached application.

PLEASE NOTE – This application must be accompanied by the fee of $100.00 made payable to the Grand Commandery of South Carolina.
